Immuno-Mediated Haemolytic Anaemia is a condition in which the body’s immune system destroys its own red blood cells. This often leads to severe anaemia and poor oxygenation of the kidneys, liver, brain, etc. It can affect both dogs and cats. In severe cases, treatment involves a blood transfusion. There are few photos of my patient Winston receiving a life-saving blood transfusion.
